I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.
i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Yeah I totally agree about the screens not being as strong, but can't deny the latest rumours... About it having a full display on the front, bigger display inside at 120HZ, stronger screen, Snapdragon only SoC and an S-Pen, have peaked my interest 😍🤤

I'll keep an eye onto the next Fold then, and also the next Note serie and actually despite what I said, the Huawei PXX pro.
Testing the zoom tonight around 8pm show pictures that look more like painting that actual picture, like what you get during the day when going 30x and above. It reminds you that the real optical zoom is only 5x and that 10x is a hybrid zoom which shines only in bright situations.
I love and hate Google, so convenient but so intrusive, finding European alternatives to their services was something I once wanted to do but it's hard to lose one's comfort... That's why I won't discard Huawei phones just yet.

I didn't want to share that here but it's worth reading: https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsungs-statement-exynos-990-vs-snapdragon-865-unconvincing/
It's worth to read that article above !!!
As you guys are going to buy the top product which is S20 ultra 512GB , and going to spend one of the biggest price for a phone, it's strange how you don't care for what you pay. Maybe you guys picking money from the trees, so you don't care for what you spend them.

By the way interesting or not you can't find worldwide s20 ultra 512 ...

You are in the same boat as me. I have been waiting sine March 10th, and still haven't got anything. I also paid the upfront deposit as well

Hi @denYo
As a real world user of the S20 Ultra I don't notice any difference. It's much faster and smoother than the S10+. I don't play a lot of games btw.
Screen, battery, camera are all great on my handset.
Ultimately like everything you will always find some faults, or unhappy people.

Would you not be upset if you bought a car and realised that the same model would be sold with a different engine showing superior performances for the same price in some other countries, including the homeland of the maker?
Imagine your car having 50 less BHP, 10 less MPG and the engine would overheat when doing long trips. Apart from that, it work well enough... But it's inferior for no reason and it doesn't cost less...

I completely agree with you.
With all my respect why you but this phone? When you don't need it's performance, I play a lot , I take pictures a lot, of the moon as well. And this is my reason why I want it.
Do you buy it just to say I bought the most expensive phone but I really don't need it? But I can afford it.

Buying a car isn't a good analogy as there are always differences even in same models.
There are other reasons why the handsets have different chips and that's down to the network frequencies used in the countries of sale and because Samsung want to push their own chip out. It's been the same since the S5. There is nothing new here, but as I said as a real world user then I haven't seen and drop in performance.
That said, I don't play games on my handset. I don't see the attraction of spending hours playing a FPS on a small screen, that's why I have a PS4 pro. If your main aim is to play games then you need a handset aimed at that market imo. The same applies to taking pictures of the moon, you can buy a dedicated camera for that option, although the pictures I have seen are impressive with the S20 Ultra camera.
You need to remember this is a mobile phone, it will play games and it will take pictures of the moon, but there are much cheaper, better options with dedicated devices.
I work hard and I like my mobile phones, that's why I have one.

"[...] and because Samsung want to push their own chip out."
But not at home, because South Korean know its inferior and Samsung give them the Snapdragon version.
