Running stress tests isn't real world usage. You are reading way too much into this article.

You shouldn't believe everything you read online.

Ultimately it's up to you as the consumer which device you buy.

@Northerner I must agree with you and I don't have that kind of usage anymore (root, custom roms, stress tests, etc), only social and multimedia, as well as photography (in a serious way, as a replacement for a 5DIII with L lenses).

Although the telephone is good and a nice upgrade, I can see things I don't like much even with a normal usage. Such as the 4G signal which struggles more than on my previous phone (OnePlus 7 Pro 5g, running Snapdragon), making the phone very hot in turn and uncomfortable to hold.

The considerations about the camera are another concern I have, everything pointing mainly in favour of Snapdragons S20 Ultras.

The only advantages of Exynos versions seem to be:

- bootloader that can be unlocked (root)

- faster updates (not really if tied down to a carrier)

- better for Filmic Pro (if serious about videos)

- possible superior night mode results

For everything else, power efficiency and battery life, power, day time photo, gaming, Snapdragon

Yes, the Exynos S20 Ultra works pretty well and is a good update coming from the OP 7 Pro 5G, but when the grass is greener on the other side and that yours turns yellow,  feeling disappointed isn't really surprising. It's in the human nature, isn't it. 😉

Hi @77cats

Unless you have the Snapdragon version of the S20 Ultra then you cannot really say if it's better, as you are purely reading articles online.

You also cannot compare two different manufacturers as their hardware and software is different. I don't have any heat issues, but if your mindset is that you have read and are convinced this is an issue then any heat will you will instantly assume is a result of the CPU. That's the point of these articles.

I like my device in 23h ,26m it's used 30% battery with Bluetooth and connected to WiFi calling 24/7. Camera is great, connectivity is great. Hopefully when the lockdown ends I can get out more and use my camera.

As I said above its for you as the consumer to decide what you want, this for me is a great device and I'm happy with it.

Well , if you want to spend 10min to watch this https://youtu.be/6CUSe8kgIE8

You'll get my point of view. This guy is in to the technology for a long time, also he have the both of the phones side by side. And it's not the only one !

That's everything from me , let's leave this topic for it's reason : when the phones will arrive.

Obviously very less people care what they take.

@MissRoseGold That's the good as new version, so people must of returned a lot of the 512GB model... Do find it misleading tho as it states 512GB IN STOCK (Order now and we will dispatch as soon as we receive stock from Samsung)

Kind of the opposite to the definition of IN STOCK 😅

Spoke to EE today, was put through to a sales agent and asked them about my order and why there showing "Good as new" S20 Ultra 512GB models in stock to order but then state will be delivered when stock received from Samsung (clearly meaning there not in stock)

He said they have had several 128GB models stock shipments so far but not a single 512GB shipment... So said I suggested I go for the 128GB model, as no end in sight for receiving the 512GB model...

Told him that's my last option but not going to jump on that boat yet, as knowing my luck the model I want would come in stock just after and I would lose out of the free earbuds...

So he said he is going to speak with his manager, and see if they can come to a resolution with me... Seeing as I've been waiting over two months now..

So waiting on the call back he said I would get today, and I will let you all know what's been said and suggested..

Hope your all doing well.

If your pre-order was done in the right timeframe, why would you lose the Galaxy buds+ by downgrading to a 128Gb?

That worked for some of us.

Becomes a lot of us ain't received a single message regarding our preorders, so that means no preorder conformation...

Add that to the fact the useless so called customer service representative I spoke to, the other day...

That all he kept saying was "Not our problem" "we have no responsibility for any of this" e.t.c... said he wouldn't send me confirmation for my preorder either so if I changed the order, I would lose out and have no way of proving my preorder..

So you lucky in that way @77cats

@Staffie85

That's so sad.

I have the same experience so I just cancel the order. Not worth it this waiting and bad customer service make me give up. This is unacceptable.
