Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Ordered just after launch. No delivery. Then told 10th then 13th then 23rd, and 24th, spoke to them again today and said they do not have a date from samsung. So rightly or wrongly .... ordered an iPhone

Just has a very interesting live chat with a samsung expert 

Apparently the official release date his 16th  and when I mentioned 13th his exact words were everyones having a bit of sport with the date 

And he confirmed there was stock 

Ordered on 18th Feb via live chat, delivered on 10 March. 128gb grey

I took a photo of the chat,been trying to see if I could upload it so I could show you all,doesn't seem to be a option....but my explain my text from ee earlier today 

Pre orderd the s20 ultra a week ago in the branch and I had upgrade anytime so I knew I had to hand in my old phone. Went to pick it up on release date and he said due to the coronavirus it was delayed? But I'm not seeing that info anywhere else.. is this sales rep just giving me the runaround because he ran out of stock?😅

@Rogerdill123   You as you told the device was ready for collection?   If not you’ll have to wait until you are contacted saying the device is there for you.

When I pre ordered he said I'd be able to pick it up on release date.. but my question isn't really about when i can pick it up but more about why he said the coronavirus was involved? He also said it could be a two week wait? His exact words went something along the lines of "because of the virus they have delayed the release " is this true or not?😂😂

@Rogerdill123   The release went ahead but demanded for the device was more than the devices EE got from Samsung,  all networks didn’t get enough devices for launch day. You’ll be contacted by the store when you’ve device is there for collection.  All the customers that ordered this device before you will be in front of you so unfortunately you’ll have to wait till a device can be allocated to you.
