A replacement for my lost sim card arrived yesterday and there has been no signal the whole time. I thought maybe it just needs a bit of time but still nothing. I wish I could call 150 but I can’t as my sim doesn’t work.

Yes this is the same card, yes I’m I’m in the UK now, yes they took all the details and activated it for me and said it will be all working within 24 hours. I was told I didn’t have to register it when I ordered new one. I also didn’t have to register last time I lost a SIM. I’m just confused and a bit impatient now. Is it possible this SIM card is just faulty??

Hi @Maryska3
Are you able to try the SIM card in another phone at all, to see if you get a signal showing?

Not until late this evening. Is there any more steps I can take? Is the step of checking if the SIM card works the last one to try?

Hi @Maryska3
You can give us a call and our customer care team will make sure the SIM card is showing registered at our end for you.

Is there any way that could be done over an email? Without a working SIM card I can’t call anyone until Saturday considering your opening hours and my partners working hours.

I see @Maryska3
Is the SIM card on pay as you go or pay monthly?
Sorry we have no email address, if you have a personal pay monthly account, you can log into your My EE account online, and a chat option will show when an agent is available.

I believe it’s on pay as you go as I moved abroad for extended period of time and I only just got back to the UK. I was going to change to a contract soon enough. Right now I don’t really feel like switching to pay monthly in sheer hope it will fix things.

Thanks @Maryska3
If you can try the SIM card in another phone tonight and then if this is not working you would need to give us a call for another SIM card to be sent out to you.
Leanne.
