No internet outside

Hi all. I've changed to EE 1st of March. I received new sim and I transferred my number from another brand. I have pay as you go with 4G data and iPhone XR. Unfortunately when I am living my house I have no internet (no Google, no WhatsApp etc). I can call. I have software updated, I reset network settings but still same problem. Phone is showing all the time 4G and is no network problem in my area - I checked.  Does anyone has same problem? Or can help? I don't want to keep paying for something what is not working.

Hi @Joanna8712

Is mobile data enabled on your phone?

Are you using iOS or Android?

Hi @bristolian ,

yes data is ON.
I am using iOS.

PAYG users need to have an active data pack in order to use mobile data - do you have one?

Text BALANCE to 150 (it's free) to check.

Yes of course, still 2.3G. When I reset network everything was fine that day. Then I came back home, turned to WiFi, left home again and no network again but was showing 4G on the top all the time.

Hi @Joanna8712.

Have you been able to use data at all since getting your pay as you go SIM?

Jon

Yes. Now I am at home, I switched from WiFi by myself and is working. And was working outside after I reset network settings. But when I am living home with WiFi on and is turning automatically to the data is not working. I can go for walk like that and no internet but if I reset network settings in the park for example starts to work.

Thanks @Joanna8712.

So it works sometimes, but not all the time?

Is this location specific?

Does it only happen at home?

Jon

Correct but usually outside - can be high road or park, doesn't matter. At home I am using WiFi generally.

Thanks @Joanna8712.

Can you check our Network Status Checker to see if there is any ongoing work in your area?
