Hi
I'm new to the community so uncertain how to ask this.
I have been on monthly contract with EE for a while and now have just bought a new phone and contract with them (EE). I have transferred all my data onto the new phone, but how do I transfer my mobile number across?
Really appreciate any advice!

@knh : EE won't port nos between contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.
You could alternatively "upgrade" your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.

Hi @knh
Buying a new phone but keeping your existing subscription & number, in mobile terminology, is known as an upgrade. In order to officially upgrade, you need to have purchased your chosen phone as an upgrade.
If you've not done so, then you have 2 choices:
1: Perform the procedure via an "unofficial" method, as outlined by @XRaySpeX
2: Assuming you've bought your chosen phone through an online or telesales route, return the device under the 14day cancellation procedure, then purchase the phone again as an upgrade.
If you bought the phone through a retail shop, then option 2 is not open to you as there is no statutory right of "change of mind" return on retail purchases.
