Hi, I've been on pay as you go for over 10 months whilst abroad and just recently I have been unable to send text messages using the same number. I'm still recieving messages but I'm unable to reply. This wasn't the case until a month ago. I've also checked my SMS centre number which is +447958879879 and restarted my phone several times but to no avail. Would really appreciate help on this. Thanks in advance

Thanks @Fiy
Could you try manually connecting to a different local network, and let me know if that helps.
Thanks
Chris

Hello @Fiy
When did you last make a chargeable call or send a chargeable text message?
Your mention of being abroad for 10months makes me suspicious that this could be related to 9-months hibernation. Take a read of this EE help page and see whether this could explain your issues.

Hi @bristolian ,
Thanks for your reply.
The last chargeable message was sent on June 14 this year and the recipient confirmed to having it received too. I was aware of hibernation and losing my number if I didn't use it so I made sure I sent a few texts every now and then.
I thought my credit must have finished so I topped up the number today by £10 only to receive a message saying my new balance is £23.80 which means I had enough credit too so I'm not sure what has happened.

Hi @Fiy
I hope you're well and having a nice day, other than this issue of course.
Where is it you're at and what network does your phone show you're connected to?
Thanks
Chris
