I'm trying to add a boaster disc I've received with my new EE gear, however i have been told by EE I need to install the app on my phone to setup the disc.  I cannot find the app on the app store for Android, only IOS devices.

Has anyone else had this/got this problem or a work around.  The EE staffer has raised it but, who knows when an answer is likely to forth coming.

The EE Home app is no longer on Google Play store. It was once; I have it on my Samsung.

If that's right EE don't even know it themselves. Just curious how other are managing if it is true, as I can't be the only one using Android?

Hi. I just got a new EE smart router following a house move and I tried to look up for the EE Home app on Google play but nothing comes up. When I googled it and clicked on the Google play website it seems that its not available on google play anymore. Is there any other source I can download it or do you happen to know if this is just temporarily?

Thanks

@pip11 : Don't know anything about any BT app other than MyBT. What's it do?

Takes you through setting up the hub and placement of discs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8VNd8tf9fs

Right folks, talked to a few from m EE and it seems they ain't all told or know the same thing. Some don't know the "home app" no longer exists on Google, others think its no it's totally needed to setup the discs, then somr know how to set it up without it.

I also read and watched loads of stuff on YouTube, including one where they use the disc via ethernet cable in a office and claim to get no drop in speed. Differing from what I was originally told, the app isn't needed to set the disc up, it just needs to pair with the home hub via the ethernet cable provided, takes 10 mins from turning hub on, tops. Once you get the solid blue light on the disc after about 5 mins, it's done, can be removed and placed where needed. This is what the app is for, to identify the rest that place for it, which can be done using your phone and judging where the signal drops out and placing it before that point.

This is what I have done tonight and will see how it goes over the next 24hrs, apart from having to put the odd password in as the fact it only uses one name, the 5GHZ part has gone, it seems as it only teething problems will be had.

Will let it run for 24hrs, got family coming tomorrow so it will have loads connected, so any problems should show up. Will let you know how it goes going forward.
