I've just had the email that you are now cashing in on the cost of living crisis by smashing a massive 14.4 % increase on my bill.
Its absolutely disgusting, at a time when people are struggling to eat and heat their homes you decide to hit us with that ridiculous increase, not just a few % you up it by 14.4%
Its sick and I'll never be using EE again when this contract ends, I'll also be going out of my way to warn other people from using you, there's absolutely no justification in a hike like that, its pure greed and you should be ashamed.
You're a disgrace!

Absolutely
Connectivity is dire regardless of location.
Pay more for less service
Ofcom it shall be

We all should complain to EE and if not dealt with Ofcom

Already complained to EE via email - fully expecting it to fall on deaf ears. I've got a GiffGaff sim ordered and i'm ready to port my number over if EE can't do the right thing and reach a reasonable solution. They go on about "helping their customers". I fail to see how incorporating something into all contracts that says they can essentially increase the contract as much as they like, AND that this increase applies to the handset too (which it shouldn't, as the handset is a one-off fixed cost to EE).
If EE can't agree a reasonable solution with me, it'll be quite nice for me to be paying just £25 a month for unlimited everything on GiffGaff instead of paying these cowboys £449.40 a month.. I forgot to mention the £439.50 I mentioned earlier was AFTER a £10 credit was applied to my account for an overpayment last month.
When you shaft customers by putting their bill up from £365 to £449.50, what do you expect?

I have delayed buyers remorse... when I look at it in the cold light of day the deal I got with EE nearly two years ago was awful, and with two big price hikes, I'm paying nearly £100 for my OPPO Find X3. Megalols.
I'm not interested in any deal EE has to offer me at this point. I will switch to a cheap sim only plan with somebody else, and buy my phones outright in future.
The only thing I'd say in EE's defence; you have been a better provider than Vodafone were. Not that I'd shout that from the rooftops.

That's the only good thing I will say about EE. Having previously been with Vodafone for nearly 3 years, the service was atrocious!

Low and behold. GiffGaff sim has arrived. Phone has immediately got 3 bars of service and 3G showing. Impressive considering it was 1 bar, at most 2, with EE, and the internet was often using "EDGE" rather than 3G/4G. Stupidly there is no 5G coverage at my address but literally 20 metres down the road there is. Might give it a trial run before I decide whether or not to port my number over....

Yeah, it’s excessive. I’m out of contract so I gave them two opportunities to make me a competitive offer instead but they couldn’t do it. In the end if switched to O2 via uswitch and am paying about 1/3 of what I would be on EE.

A 14% raise in prices in mid-contract is unconscionable and is nothing more than rank profiteering. Lack of appropriate government regulation is allowing you to literally rob customers blind.
Using base CPI is disingenuous as the drivers for base CPI are unrelated to telecommunications costs. I know because I was a consultant to Verizon and NEXTEL in the US.
In a time when UK citizens are already struggling due to inflation and profiteering by other companies, this is both frustrating and sad. EE and BT are taking advantage of real inflation to inflate profits, not simply cover costs.
We will be dropping our contract with EE and BT as soon as possible and will be working with our local representatives to enact legislation that will provide better oversight and regulation of your businesses to prevent this profiteering and predatory contract stipulations.

Hi @mflaggo
These costs (the yearly charge ) are all detailed in your contract.
That simple.
You are oversimplifying these costs, which in reality are a small % over last year.
Thanks

I'm disgusted on how much they have put my.phone bill up I pay 96 pound a month like that isn't enough it's beyond a joke I will be leaving for another provider when my contract runs out
