I've just had the email that you are now cashing in on the cost of living crisis by smashing a massive 14.4 % increase on my bill.
Its absolutely disgusting, at a time when people are struggling to eat and heat their homes you decide to hit us with that ridiculous increase, not just a few % you up it by 14.4%
Its sick and I'll never be using EE again when this contract ends, I'll also be going out of my way to warn other people from using you, there's absolutely no justification in a hike like that, its pure greed and you should be ashamed.
You're a disgrace!

Why on earth are ee saying this is an annual increase? My last 2yr ee contract never had an annual increase in the 2yr of that contract. Also why is your 5g signal so bad? Dnt matter where I am it's just ridiculous, indoors or outdoors. My contract has jumped to £83 a month for a service that i rarely receive. I will not be renewing this contract when it's up. Feel like ee are just taking the mick out of their customer now.

Hello @Recovery911 ,
Welcome to the community,
Might have been useful if you had watched the Martin Lewis show, as this has been discussed.
Every network is putting them up. It is the CPI at 14.4% and actually every year it goes up in April. It is not just EE all networks are doing the same, some are putting theirs up even more.
As for the 5G signal, this will depend where you are, 4G is actually perfectly adequate, 5G is not everywhere, will depend on what may be blocking it. I usually have 5G, but in some areas, only get 4G, nothing wrong with that.

Hi their. Yes I get the annual increase, that happens with everything in the world, but the fact remains that not once did this annual increase get applied to my last ee 2yr contract so for them to say its annual is clearly a lie. And that contract only ended in November last Yr, they could argue it but fact is I have all bank stuff to show that their was no increase. And cmon 14% in thus economy when everyone struggling is a bit **bleep** Turpin.

I switched to EE,from vodaphone, just under three weeks ago and received the same increase .so was totally shocked as it came the day after the fourteen day cancellation option.I was informed that they can do this at any time they like and it was in the initial contract .I felt insulted and completely ripped off .what a terrible way to start up a new contract and now I’ll probably have to wait two years to get out of it !

@Recovery911 The increase is inline with Decembers CPI rate and 3.9%. If you didn’t receive any increase before you was very lucky as it’s in the contract T&Cs that you agreed too.

Hi @clarky1961
See here

Was a year since the last increase unless your deal has runout. This increase is part of your contract.
Thanks

I've just joined here in order to have my say and I'm heartened to find outrage in other people too.
If the cost of transmitting our signals through the ether was materially rising there might be an excuse for an appropriate price rise, but that's plainly not the case here. On the day of the increase it will cost no more to do this than on the day before. EE must think we're all thick. And at that scale! We know (because the govt tell us) that inflation is under control. This is not a'just in case' rise.
It's the worst kind of robbery and you're going to come unstuck you greedy gits.
There's more to say but I'm in a rage now and unable to!!!!!

@Froggychops It costs no more ? Does a mast use electricity? Has the price of electricity gone up ? Has getting engineers out to problem masts gone up in costs ? Fuel perhaps might of increased. The prices or parts will be effected. Just because from your side you don’t see a change it doesn’t mean there isn’t any change.

My 5G reception is terrible hardly ever stays on 5G drops to 4G Which has slowed right down & then the price goes up forca substandard service so definitely leaving them when I can
