Disgusting Price Increase!

I've just had the email that you are now cashing in on the cost of living crisis by smashing a massive 14.4 % increase on my bill.

Its absolutely disgusting, at a time when people are struggling to eat and heat their homes you decide to hit us with that ridiculous increase, not just a few % you up it by 14.4%

Its sick and I'll never be using EE again when this contract ends, I'll also be going out of my way to warn other people from using you, there's absolutely no justification in a hike like that, its pure greed and you should be ashamed.

You're a disgrace!

I just joined a few months ago and its the worst decision I've ever made.  Their prices are already higher than others but this hike in price is ridiculous.  Not sure why I'm even bothering to show my distain here as they don't care about their customers.  If I could get out of the contract now, I would but will not be renewing with these pack of wolves.  Like you I will warn everyone who even suggests moving to EE, to stay clear.

EE, shameful, disgraceful and inhumane, never again!

Stating the obvious as you say, but they did not need to take up the
maximum increase possible and still say they are trying to help. No one
really expects anything to happen but it still good to express some
frustration

I didn't press the helpful button as you are not being very helpful.

We all know there is nothing we can do about the hike in price but we are still angry, not with the increase, that's inevitable, but the amount.  EE could have handled this a lot better knowing the market they have out there, just a very bad business strategy, make a quick buck at the expense of a population who are struggling financially.  They need to remember they are only as good as the customers they have and that number will fall.

Well this CPI + EE tax is not going to go away and in fact, most service providers have done the same…

however, inflation is at its peak now and will go down gradually but still next April 2024, it may be CPI (4%) + EE tax (3.9%) = 7.9%

and even if inflation is under 2% we will still pay 2%+3.9% = 5.9% or 0%+3.9% =3.9% increase each year as minimum…!!

Unless they change T&C, below may be fair to the customers.

Option 1: just like energy market cap, ofgem needs to introduce price increase cap for TV, broadband & Mobile market. review it quarterly so we don’t pay 14.4% for full year..

Option 2: like insurance, council tax etc. We should have two options (1) to pay entire cost (2) pay monthly price which can change yearly with inflation

Hopefully EE will lose more than 14.4% of their customers and realise the error of their ways. Ill certainly be leaving when contract is up. Just because it's in the Ts and C's doesn't mean they should increase at the maximum permitted amount. Goodbye EE
