Connecting two routers

Hi, I've recently had a garden room installed. They have used an ethernet cable plugged into the back of my existing router to take internet down to the garden room. They have then used it to install a broadband plug, when I plug my second router into that plug my internet doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance

A BB plug? What is that? Do you mean another phone socket? You can't take BB from 2 phone sockets at the same time.

You haven't said what routers they are.
