I am currently out of contract and would like to change to sim only, can I just switch to this or do I have to physically put the new sim in my phone?
Ps I'm out of the country and unable to collect new sim...

As Chris has mentioned, this is just a change of payment plan and there is consequently no need to replace your SIM unless there is a problem with the one you already have.
I would only add, that if you request this change of payment plan by phone with EE C/S, the change is often immediate and completed while you're on the line. If you do the request online via myEE, then it's under the "upgrade now" section.

@Natm You just need to upgrade. Your account will change to the new tariff around 24 hours after upgrading and you don’t need a new sim as it’s only an account change. You might be sent a sim to your billing address but you don’t need it.
