Calling from abroad without EE number

Helenebat

Hi all,

I need to get in touch with EE Customer Service from abroad.

Calling the international contact number +44 7953966250, I'm asked to provide my EE phone number to continue.

As I don't have it, I text "number" to 150 as requested to get my EE number, but the text cannot be sent from abroad.

Anyone has a solution please? I feel like I am in a dead end...

Thanks!

Helene

Accepted Solutions
  1. How come there is a PAYG no. associated with your BB a/c? There aren't usually.
  2. If it's really connected with your BB a/c you could use the BB IVR route when calling up, usually Opt 3 (see my sig), & giving your landline no.
  3. If this PAYG no. hasn't been used for a chargeable action for over 9 months, chances are it's been deactivated.

Hi @Helenebat

I hope you're well and having a nice time abroad, where is it you're at?

I know how important it is to have a working phone while away, so let's see what we can do about this.

Do you have a contracted or pay as you go phone?

Thanks

Chris

@Helenebat is this for your home phone or mobile?

If mobile, unless you are on your own, you could call or txt someone else you are with and get your number from them? They don't have to answer, and make sure you replace the+44 with 0 when quoting your number.

If Homephone are you able to log into MyEE and get your number from a recent bill?

Hi @Christopher_B ,

Sorry I forgot to explain in my previous message: I need to contact the EE Customer Service regarding my Broadband plan. There is a pay as you go plan that goes with the account but it's not in use and I don't know the number.

Obviously it is that phone number I need to get in order to have access to the Customer Service by phone, but while texting 150 to get the number, I understand it is not working from abroad (even though texting from a Uk mobile number, non EE).

Is there any other way to know my EE mobile number?

Thank you in advance!

Helene

You can't text NUMBER to 150 from a non-EE mobile & expect to get a reply from EE.

Why can't you get the mobile no. from your MyEE under My EE Mobile?

Hi, thank you all for your replies and help!

I actually found out I could use my landline number that goes with the broadband account to connect to the call. PAYG was indeed deactivated.

Fyi +44 800 079 8586 is not working from abroad (automatic message saying this number is not working)

Thanks!
