Awaiting confirmation

I placed an order sunday night for samsung galaxy a70 in white with the xmas gift either nintendo switch or a tv (the nintendo switch i want).

Anyway i have an email saying order on its way with xko number, when i go to tracking then its saying 'awaiting confirmation' just wondering what this means? Is it just waiting to be in stock or has my order not gone through. Please help!

I have they just said its a popular phone and currently out of stock and as soon as its back in stock they will update my delivery. Does it usually take this long? As every phone ive ordered in the past from ee ive had the next day
