Scam calls offering 40% discount

had calls from all these numbers today saying they’re from EE and offering a 40% discount promotion, when they asked how much my last bill was, and since they were all Indian voices, I hung up; assuming it was fraud.  When I searched the numbers through my HIYA security app, they were all landlines apparently from cafes! I’ve blocked all the numbers, but there’s obviously a big scam doing the rounds! They must have hijacked some dormant landline numbers I’d think.

I had a call today with the same thing. Indian voice and a load of noise in background. I knew straight away it was a scam.

Just got same 40% offer from this number... 07745027552 supposedly ee letchworth.
Same b/s about valued long standing customer discount, we want to retain customers! 

Asked me to confirm my latest bill, told him he should know it if he was from ee and was looking at my tenure with ee... Hung up and asked him not to call again

I just had a call offering 45% discount for two years from 07380 311206. Asked me how much my last bill was and when I told him he kept getting the amount wrong. I then asked him to tell me what my surname was to prove he was from EE and he spouted some rubbish about sending a verification email and asked again what my last bill was. I that point I said I was ending the call because I didn't believe he was from EE.

I just had the same call but from mobile numbers. It felt suspicious when they were asking for information that EE would already hold on my account. Glad I hung up now and blocked the numbers.
