Yep it's a scam been going around for sometime now. Don't click the link if you have and entered details then contact your bank. You can forward the text message to 7726.

There needs to be a better way of warning EE customers of this scam rather than finding this thread.

I got the same exact text today at 5:30pm with the same amount of points!!!

I closed the text and logged into my EE account to see if I've been notified about any points (something I've never heard of EE doing ever) - and I'm glad I did that.

I've never been offered any points for rewards in the past and suddenly these supposed points I've accrued expire in 3 days.

I hope no one else falls victim to this scam. Glad I checked with EE directly before filling in anything.

You done the right thing by checking first as some people have been court out if you still have the text message can you please forward it to 7726 (SPAM) so they can look in to it.

@Jennyfaethebloc   funny how I’ve never had one and I can bet there are thousands who have never had one.    For you to say it’s a data breach do you care to elaborate on that or is that just because you can say such a thing without any proof to back up that claim.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @Silliussodus

I am sorry to hear this.

Did you enter any personal details such as bank information?

Please also report this by forwarding the message to 7726, this will allow the relevant department to investigate these messages.

Sorry to hear that's happened.

First of all please don't think your a fool or anything, these things are so convincing that they can catch out the most switched on people.

The first thing you should do is contact you bank and explain what's happened and they will work with you to sort this out. I would then change any relevant passwords.

Then forward the original text message to 7726.

Again sorry to hear you was taken in by this scam but please don't blame yourself scams nowadays are becoming more and more convincing.

I hope you get things sorted.

Your not alone I changed my cards because of similar .. main thing is
never think anything is for free and always contact the said company
directly not from a number you're given .

Yes, after I checked with EE online I forwarded this text message as SPAM (and under a scam). I also gave the phone number to EE that sent me the text.
