Can't transfer old number

I'm trying to transfer my old number but when I'm completing the form for porting it's saying my EE number doesn't exist, what do I need to do? The sim is activated and I have set up monthly payments

I have two separate mobile phones and would like to keep the both of them can I add an additional mobile number to my online account without deleting my other mobile number.
