Transfer number to new phone

Hi, I’ve tried transferring my phone number to my new phone after it got water damaged so I’m pretty much starting from new but I can’t seem to transfer my number to it as it says my old phone needs to be unlocked any help would be great thanks

Esim

Took out contract with ee on Saturday was told A51 samsung was OK to use esim now I can't use phone as A51 won't support esim
