Hi I took out a new contract with EE last Thursday and asked to transfer my number. I received my new SIM card on Saturday but my number still hasn’t transferred. I’ve no text message or anything. The email I had to say my order was accepted said my number would transfer within 1 day. My old SIM card on 3 is still working but just wondering how long I should leave it before I phone EE

Have you inserted your EE SIM into a device to activate it and, in turn ,initiate the transfer process?
After inserting and connecting to the network, it should transfer on the next working day as long as you do this during business hours (before 5:30pm), and within 2 working days if done outside of business hours.

When was the SIM inserted?
As it is only Monday, this is currently the first working day in the process. If the SIM was inserted on Saturday, Sunday or before 5:30pm today then your number should transfer at some point tomorrow and your 3 SIM will be deactivated as this takes place.

If you inserted your EE SIM on Saturday, then the PAC would be submitted on the first available working day which was today, Monday 29th. This should mean your port-in is set for tomorrow, Tuesday 30th.
Weekends & bank holidays are not working days and don't count for porting timescales.

Your number should port tomorrow if your PAC Code was provided and processed correctly and you have inserted the EE SIM any time before 5:30pm today. The SIM does not have to stay in the device for this, but your current 3 SIM could stop working at any point tomorrow as the port takes place.
You may wish to call EE Customer Services if you want to be sure your PAC has been received due to the lack of confirmation, as they will be able to see if there is a pending port in - and set one up for Wednesday if it has not worked.
I usually tend to wait until I have received the SIM before processing the PAC myself by texting PORT to 150 from the new EE SIM to submit it as this provides confirmation and a timeline - this is the process I recommend to most.
