What makes you think this is because your SIM is not working?

Does your phone show coverage indicators?

Hi there,

I seem to be experiencing this issue with my phone too. Here's a few things to check!

Is there an outage in my area?

You can find out if there is an outage in your area which is preventing you from accessing the EE network HERE.

Is my phone locked to another carrier?

Sometimes your phone can be locked to another carrier (such as O2, Virgin Media, etc). It's best to check this if you've had another SIM from another provider in here. Click here for more information

Is my phone showing any service?

If you're seeing bars in your top bar on your phone screen, you've most likely got service and it does see you're on the EE network. Check if you've got data too and if you can get online. If you can't get online, then most likely something isn't working and you can call customer service from another phone or pop into an EE store.

Is my phone updated to the latest version?

It's best to check if it is updated to the latest version of Android/iOS, etc. If it isn't, an update may help fix the problem.

Is my device 4GEE/5G capable?

Depending on your device, you might not be able to connect to the network as 3G was shut down. You can text "HANDSET" to 150 to see if your phone supports 4G or 5G. However, most phones nowadays are already 4G and 5G, so the likely-ness of you using a 3G is not very high.

Is my SIM card damaged?

Check for any damage to it, if there is then that may be the cause. You can pop into an EE store for more assistance with getting a brand new SIM with the same number if you're with EE.

I hope this helped.

Thanks for reading! If my reply helped you, why not hit the thumbs up button? That way, it'll help customers with issues related to yours find a recommended solution.

My name is Chris. I'm from the UK & I've been an EE customer since 2013/14.
I try my best to help you out - but I don't work with EE.. (one day maybe). I'm here to lend a helping hand to those who may need it.

If you require assistance or to manage your account with EE...
Call 150 from an EE phone - it's free and you will not be charged.
Call 07973 100450 from any other phone
Call 0800 079 8586 from any other phone/and or Skype.

An easier way of managing your account is using My EE.
It's available to download on Android & iOS and you can use it online too.

Thanks for sharing the help @MyNameIsChris7

If you have another phone available @Nareshgolla, it is worth trying to put your SIM into that, and trying another SIM in your phone to see if it is following the SIM.
