Warning Fake iPhone Handsets Being Delivered by DPD

If you are waiting for a phone being delivered check your parcel immeadiately.

Today I had a new Iphone 15 Pro Max delivered this afternoon by DPD and upon opening the box and powering it up I have discovered it is a counterfeit chinese phone running android.  I've reported it and am now also stuck in limbo like the previous poster awaiting a call tomorrow from ee pending a further investigation.

At first appearance the fake looks very similar to a real iPhone (identical box, size, colour) however the camera module on the back is different and upon powering up it becomes obvious that it is running a skinned version of android made to lool like ios.

Unfortunately I had fitted the enclosed SIM card and manually logged into my apple account during the (rather convincing) setup screens o have now had to reset all my credentials just in case.  This is massively stressful.

This is appalling! And my fear now im in the "process"

 

Thanks for sharing, on phone to EE currently so will mention this to helpfully avoid them being surprised by me returning a brick.

So I’m currently on the phone for another 32 minutes 

and given them given them the ime number and it’s seems it’s my fault there wrong two of the phone carry the same ime number and I’m being asked how is this possible it this a really bad joke or what this is disgusting  I’m wondering if the sun or twitter or Instagram needs a copy of this transcript uploaded  my god this is really poor service guys this is your mistake not mine FIX IT !

So 38 minutes in and there now say there going to send out new phones and I hand the fakes across to the delivery driver

Also is it just me or is is strange the no one from EE  is answering or commenting on our posts 

 

is this more denial of the problem 

Its a case of 'Admit Nothing -Deny Everything - Make Counter-Accusations' i'm afraid. Classic obfuscation from EE

Update on mine.

Being told returns will deal with. Form filled in, had email from them asking what i meant by reason being - Fake Iphone - Sent pictures etc

EE also advised that i raise with DPD. Just done that, utterly useless, they just said tell EE as they have to report it with us.

Still no closer to solution and to make matters worse EE have updated my phone account and i have no data apperently, despite new phone supposedly having 50GB per month.

Hi guys just a little update I’ve just received replacement phones all 3 hand sets. I stood at the door and turned them all ok feel totally different from the previous ones and they start up with an Apple logo so fingers crossed these are right still no offer from ee for compensation or anything for all the time and effort I’ve spent on this it makes you feel like such an important customer !!!!!!

im guessing that customer service is not there strong point hay really. Poor ee really poor

Ive had a call from supply chain and they have raised a claim against DPD and are swapping out my fake with hopefully a real one tomorrow

Hi all.

We’re aware of a small number of customers who have not received the equipment that they have ordered, across all networks. If you have had this experience with your delivery, I recommend speaking to our Mobile Care team who can raise this with the relevant department. 

We will then speak to the courier company with any reports so they can be investigated and any appropriate action taken.

people included myself that are having or have had this issue are being made to feel like criminals and there is not senes of the customer is always right as the old saying goes 

we are all I’m sure good customer!

I suggest you ry looking after us as we all feel totally let down by this and let me assure you it is a huge worry when it happens because we all need and use our phones as a course of day to day life 

and to be left feeling like this is our fault it’s not on 

 

at the least you should be offering these people who this has happen to some credit to the bill or at least something as I know from my point I spent many hours dealing with something that was not my/ our  fault will you cover my hourly rate?  or the headache?  or worry?
 I ask Do you even care EE ? What are you suggesting as a way to rectify this !
