In Poland, can receive calls but can't call myself

Hi, I'm staying in Poland and can't make calls back to the UK, I've texted ROAMING to 150, turned on roaming in my device settings and restarted it 3 times and still no success. Any ideas on what else to try?

I just want to let my daughter roam while in the EU on a 10 day trip. She is within our family EE contract. I understand that, by texting ROAMING to 150 she should be able to activate the roaming at a cost of £2.29 a day, but there is another option ...
