Hi
I have a strange issue to resolve.
We have several devices all on EE, some iphones and some android (samsung and google).
We are in a poor signal area so rely on Wi-Fi calling, for some reason all android phones cannot connect to Wi-Fi calling but iPhones can.
Anyone know why that would be?
Just to note all devices are connected to the same network.
Thanks in advance

Hi @anthony2024
Thanks for coming here 🙂
Do the phones have WiFi Calling turned on in the settings?
Can they find the WiFi network and connect?
Also, does WiFi Calling work on any other WiFi network?
Speak soon 🙂
Leanne.

Hi Leanne
Yep all the phones have wifi calling on and have a strong wifi connection.
As i mentioned iphones work but android do not. Even tried the airplane mode trick and turning wifi back on but no difference.
I did some testing with various sims and O2 sim also didn't work but a Three sim did on the same phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks for coming back to me @anthony2024
Are you able to try and connect to a different WiFi network?
Leanne.

Recent Android phones have an option to toggle "WiFi-preferred" cf "Mobile preferred".

Yes they work on other networks, feel as though something is blocked and I need to unblock it on this particular network.
But why would it work on iPhones and not on Android, and then work on Three but not on EE or O2?
Just a strange one.
Thanks
Anthony

Thanks for the message, yep they have Wifi Preferred.
As mentioned to Leanne I did the airplane mode trick so it cuts off mobile connections and just wifi only. Works on iphone not on android, works on Three not on EE or O2.
