So,

New phone has arrived and swapping my sim from old phone to new phone didn't seem to just work, messed around last night trying to set up an esim and transfer over the esim to new phone. Managed to get it working and had a signal last night. When I am trying to use my phone this morning it says there is no sim there.

I feel that I did the transfer of my old sim to being an esim, and then transferred that across to new phone but now new Esim is not registered on new phone and I can't get it back on the old phone.

Tried calling EE with my watch which was linked to my number on a paired plan but for whatever reason it started to overheat and wouldn't let me complete the call. Now I am left with no mobile device to recieve pin numbers from EE to be able to have a conversation or to try and activate/replace an esim on devices.

I have found no chatbot to be able to chat with a "real" person here to try and speak with customer services.

Is my only option to try to borrow someone elses phone to call EE ?

Hi @Aliwil

Great to hear you have your new phone.
It sounds like you may have removed the eSIM from your new phone after transfer.

Once an old SIM/eSIM is no longer working it's not possible to reactivate it, so you'll need a new replacement SIM.

We'd love to get you up and running as soon as possible, but as you no longer have a working SIM card, you'll need to call Customer Service from another phone or pop into any EE Store with photo ID for a replacement SIM  or eSIM

You can find out more at Set up and use eSIM
