Voicemail now announcing number in message

Recently the EE voicemail message when called seems to be announcing in the voicemail call not only the time of the message, but also the number of the person who left the message. Annoying as it takes longer to get to hear the message, and unnecessary as the number comes up as a missed call. Can't see how to deactivate this, any ideas? Thanks

As far as I'm aware, there isn't any option to change the format in which messages are presented. 

Whilst you can change the greeting and enable enhanced alerts via text, the actual automated system itself cannot be amended. 

If you have an iPhone, you could switch to the option of Visual Voicemail; this bypasses the audio menu completely, and lets you manage your messages via the phone's menu system.

Thanks for your helpful message.  Unfortunately I have an android phone.  

I've called EE technical support, and they asked Level 2 support.  They said it is recent and can't be changed, it's for all EE Customers.

I requested that they change it to an optional feature, as it's really not necessary or helpful.

It's a really annoying change I'm afraid, which makes voicemail much more tedious to use and doesn't seem to give any benefit. Could it please be made optional?

Guys,

I hate the change made to the Voice Mail Message left by callers. When you list now you have to wait for the phone number of the caller to be read out by the system. This burns more time listening to your voice mail.

Also find this very annoying.  Will be leaving EE if this is not fixed.  Wastes a lot of time and I give up waiting and phone people back without listening.

Maybe this is EE's strategy so they can ditch providing the service.

Should always be message first then details.
