Number spoofed but how did they get my contacts?

Today my wife says that she had a missed call from me when I had not tried to call her. I got a call from my Dad an hour later asking if I had tried to call him and this was not me. Neither call appears in my call logs.

It seems like my number has been spoofed but what I don’t understand is how did the get the numbers of my contacts?

How do you know they have your contacts, just as likely to be coincidence and are using your number for a while.

Have you had any issues with email?

Because two of my closest contacts (wife and father) have both had calls from my number that weren’t me.
