To all,
I have a personal recorded outgoing greeting message that’s been verified by EE as in use as it plays that message & is saved. This should play when I can’t get to my mobile phone, then a caller can leave a message. As I understand, my service provider (EE) deals with this on the number: +447953222222. This number is in my phone under settings for voice mail & call forwarding. However, my phone keeps ringing with no outgoing message until the EE message states:-
“the number you have telephoned is not answering, please try again later”
Can anyone assist in getting this to work ?

This sounds like your diverts aren't working as you intend.
Try texting VM ON to 150 to reset these.

Thanks for that reminder, I forgot to also note, I tried that several times yesterday & just now, but keep getting an EE text message stating:-
"Sorry, we're having some trouble completing your request at the moment, Please try again later."
I reckon I'll have to go in-shop to resolve this one. 🤔

Or call CS directly - 150 from your mobile, or 0800 0798586 from any other phone.
Another "final throw of the dice" would be to send VM OFF to 150, wait for the response then restart your phone. Then send VM ON to 150 and see if the response is any different.

Hi bristolian,
Thanks for the suggestion, VM OFF returned a message:-
"your request to turn off your call divert to voicemail has been successful"
However, after the restart & trying VM ON, I get the:-
"Sorry, we're having some trouble completing your request at the moment, Please try again later."...................grrrrrr 🙄 😖
Oh well, I'll go in-shop & report back tomorrow.

An update on this one.
EE Technical services spoke to me via customer services prior to my in-shop appointment to resolve this matter yesterday. They noted to me it was an EE setting they could only correct their end, not a setting I could undertake on my phone. So, I didn't need to go in-shop & was corrected as we spoke. The setting though takes 24hrs to change, so later on this afternoon it should work, but at this time, it still dosen't work. 😟
This happened from when I changed over from Pay-as-you-go to a monthly plan with new phone with the existing sim card. However, later on, the existing sim card had to be replaced due to age & not working as expected with new phone 'IT'.
I'll repy back with an update later to confirm if all's working. 🤔

To all,
It's now Sunday, so more than the 24 hours EE Technical Services (since Friday) noted my answerphone outgoing message should now be working.
Unfortunately, my answerphone outgoing message is still not working ! 😕
I'll try again on Monday, but it looks like another chat with EE Technical Services 😫
