Getting lots of dangerous Scam Calls using the EE prefix 07960. As my number begins with 07960, my calls to others may get blocked. Is anyone doing anything about this?

Hi @WhiskyW
Thanks for coming to the community.
Unwanted marketing calls and number spoofing (where nuisance callers and criminals deliberately alter the caller ID) are problems that affect users of all mobile networks.
You can find out more about number spoofing on the Ofcom website and in our Call spoofing article.
You can report the call to EE just text 'call' to 7726 followed by a space, then the number that called you, we use the data collected to help protect all of our customers.
Thanks.
Leanne.

@WhiskyW EE can not stop someone from calling you. How do they know is a scam caller that’s calling you ?
The 5 digits you have given can be for any network not just EE

Thanks for that. I know it’s a spoof. My main concern is that people will start blocking me if they are getting lots of nuisance calls from the prefix 07960. I was just mentioning it as a point of concern. Nothing more.

I see @WhiskyW
If they have your number saved as a contact, your name will show when you call them.
Thanks.
Leanne.
