I have an independent website telling me there's an issue with the ee network but the ee checker says it's all fine. I just get the feeling that they're taking our money and they just don't care. Wish I'd never switched from GiffGaff, the coverage for just £10 a month was superb, tethering worked, it's does't work as well on EE for some weird reason even though I'm supposed to be 5G enabled in 5G areas. It's just crap, as soon as I can leave the network I will.

What independent website?? Is telling you there is an issue with the EE network..
And to be fair I would trust a live network report than a 3rd party site, as where are they pulling data from??

Third party websites don't have access to EE's faults database and are therefore unreliable for local issues.
What're the specific problems you're having?

I have had major problems since yesterday and cannot get any help from EE

My audio cuts out, my calls cut off, I have little to now signal strength compared to my kids and my husband all on 02, it's germinally very poor wherever we go as a family in comparison. Tethering is problematic, says I have 5g but I get poor speeds for upload and download. I'm just pretty fed up with EE. It's crap in comparison to what I had with GiffGaff and it's a heck of a lot more money.
