I've been on EE (contracts) now for a few years, and changed from iPhone 13 Pro Max, to 16 Pro Max.
I don't often make calls. But I've noticed that some of the time when I do, I can dial the number and get silence for a prolonged period (no ringback - the call attempt is still being made). On occasion if I leave it long enough it connects, but usually I hang up and immediately redial whereupon it always starts ringing immediately.
Does anyone else see this?
I'd been thinking this mostly occurs on wifi calling, and I saw it yesterday on 5G NSA. It's more likely home is just where I tend to call from. (Wifi itself has gone through multiple providers (currently EE), different hardware) and is very reliable with consistently low latency etc. Additionally I don't see wifi calling shown most of the time (as I have an EE signal ok at home). My local area has good 4G and 5G coverage

Are you effectively describing a lack of outgoing ringtone?

It’s more than this. The call isn’t connecting (to uk numbers including bt landlines), the recipient doesn’t receive any call attempt
I need to record more notes on when this happens to see if there’s a pattern. Was just wondering if it’s something anyone else is seeing

Thanks for taking the time to explain that, @planetf1b.
Have you noticed this happening anywhere other than when at home and on WiFi calling?
If you can spot any pattern between numbers too, that would be really helpful!
