Using EE SIM on DrayTek Vigor2862Lac LTE Router

Hi,
I've recently bought an unlimited EE SIM at £33/month because EE has faster speeds where I live compared to Three who I've been using for the last 2 yrs. I have no fibre at my remote rural address and standard wired internet is useless (less than 1 Mbps download). Luckily, mobile signal is fairly good.

Therefore I'm using a Draytek LTE router into which I just insert a SIM. It works great with Three but I swapped to EE hoping for better speeds. I received my SIM 2 days ago, it works fine in an iPhone and an old Samsung phone but I can't get it to work in my Draytek router. As below pic, the Three SIM connects no problem but with EE I get "registration denied".
In other parts of this forum, I've found the APN settings but they don't work for me !
Does anyone else on this forum use a Draytek router and what APN settings do you have.
I've been on a Draytek group on FaceBook. One guy says he has an EE SIM in his router but he leaves the APN entry blank whereas the info on here says APN entry should be everywhere ?
Any help please ?
Three connects - EE denied !Three connects - EE denied !

Hi,

Attached pic shows the LTE settings page on the DrayTek router. As my EE SIM is not working, it's currently set up for Three.
When I was trying to get EE working, the settings were -

APN Name = everywhere
Username = eesecure
Password = secure

I tried Authentication PAP or CHAP, PAP and CHAP

Nothing works.

Try PAP alone as the Authentication type.

Is there a setting for IPv? there?

I've already tried PAP Only and it makes no difference.
There is a settings page for IPv6 which is set as "Offline".
The available options are -
TSPC
AICCU
DHCPv6 Client
Static IPv6

No, it's not that 1. I was looking for a choice beteween IPV4 & IPv6. Usually called APN Protocol.

Yes, there is a choice for IPv6 - see below screen shot. That's what I said in my previous reply. When you click on this tab you get a drop down with these 4 options -

TSPC
AICCU
DHCPv6 Client
Static IPv6

What's it say under the IPv6 tab?

I don't think that's what I'm after. I'm looking for a choice between them, not a setting for 1 of them.

Here is a screen shot of the iPv6 menu. I currently have it set to "Offline".
If you want to use it you have to pick one of four options -

  • TSPC
  • AICCU
  • DHCPv6 Client
  • Static IPv6

Thanks, but that's not what I was after. Let's see the complete APN/Profile page.
