Suddenly seeing the IPC6023 error using own router despite years of no issues

For a couple of years. I've had a largely successful set up going with a Draytek Vigor 130 in bridge mode connected into Synology RT2600AC (+ mesh network). I had this equipment before joining EE and it works really well in my old stone house and I really value its traffic control features (blocking IOT devices from unnecessary internet access!).

Over the past few days, I have the dreaded IPC6023 error where I can view the channel lists, just not play anything. I've confirmed the channels work fine using the EE router, and I've been back through all the settings - ensuring the vigor is in bridge mode, enabling IGMP snooping/proxy etc as well as lots of other non obvious things (disabling IPv6, setting a custom DNS). I've tried the tv box wired in directly to the router as well.

Nothing is working - the IPC6023 error persists. What's so strange is that it's worked perfectly for so long, then suddenly overnight it stops. Perhaps the Synology router has developed a bizarre fault. Part of me wonders if something upstream has changed? Like EE is locking customers to its own hardware? But I'm sure there'd be many more complaints on here if that was the case.

Has anyone else experienced something similar lately? Failing that, are there any decent routers that some can recommend that will definitely work with EETV?

Thanks a lot

Hi @dave1234567890

Thanks for coming to our community.

Since the EE TV box is working OK with the EE router, our technical support team may be limited in what support they can offer, but it may be worth having a chat with them.

As an EE employee, I can't really offer advice on third party routers, but we have some lovely, knowledgeable users here on the community who may come along and offer some advice.
