EE 5G sim not working in my router

I  have a motorhome that has a Teleco WFT402 4g router. Its worked perfectly well with a smarty data sim. I have recently moved from BT to EE in repect of two mobile phones so I thought I would stop the smarty sim and put in an EE sim. I was told that there was no need for an exclusive data sim so got a 50g 5g sim.

I put the EE sim in the router and everything looked fine th sim was recognised but no data was delivered. The router  has an indicator for 4g etc but this failed to illuminate. Is there something I need to do or have I been sold the wrong sim? Any replies or advice I will be grateful. I have got my smarty sim back in for the time being. I am considering changing the router and fitting a roof arial to improve the signal.

Excellent news!!

Hi, I'm having an issue where I can connect to 4G on the router but 5G isn't working. This is the EE profile it's set up under. Is this okay to access 5G?

@Snookie12cat1  The APN has nowt to do with 4/5G.

Which mobile router is it?

It's a DECO X50-5G.

It's connecting to the 5G now but the speed is unstable and falls from 120 to 10 while watching the speed test.

@Snookie12cat1 : Authentication = PAP might be better but it won't affect the G's.
