Just want to offer some clarity to other members of the community. I go travelling tomorrow so was looking to activate my roaming data however I am unable to access my profile. I receive the error message 'There seems to be a problem... Sorry, we're having a little difficulty right now. Try refreshing the page. You can still visit the other areas of EE'.

For the sake of people not wasting their time with generic tech support options.

I have tried 4 different browsers on my computer.

I have tried 4 different browsers on my sisters computer which is a 30 minute drive away.

I have tried using my mobile phone on my home wifi / sisters wifi who lives 30 minutes away.

I have tried using my 5G data.

I have tried clearing my history / cookies / cache and restarting all my devices including my wifi.

None of these steps have solved the issue. Hopefully this will stop people wasting their time with generic turn it on turn it off tech support.

NM about activating roaming data. You need 1st to activating roaming in general on your EE a/c.

If you are on contract, you do that by texting ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK.

If you are on PAYG, make sure you have used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text before leaving the UK.

Thank you for your reply. I tried the 150 ROAMING text but it presented me with an option that was £25. Typically I just go to my account, go to add ons, then activate one of the options which costs £10 and allows me to use my phone in the EU. I'm not sure what the exact name is I'm afraid, because not being able to access my account on a regular basis was not something I factored in when I chose EE.

I will be leaving EE at the end of my contract, these tech issues have been going on for years, and for this to happen to a tech based company I'm getting serious second hand embarrassment being a customer.

No, that's texting ROAMING PASS to 150. That's not the same as texting ROAMING (period) which is free.

Hi, I tried ROAMING PASS but it is still trying to charge me £25

Not ROAMING PASS. Just text ROAMING on its own.
