Resolved! Phone upgrade

I'm a bit thick with technology. I've just upgraded my phone, which arrived today. Am keeping the same number. Do I need to take out my SIM card in the old phone and swap it over? And how do I get the stuff stored onto my old phone into the new one?

Death of account holder.

My mum has passed away, she was the account holder, myself and 2 children have the phones and use the contracts. The phones are just over 6 months old. Can I transfer them to pay as you go? Will we get to keep the phones to use?
