Leave EE only with one number

Hi, my husband is the contact owner of both mine and his number. The contract is expired, If I leave EE , they will have to change the charge to half , right?

Family account

my wife is with another provider. I want to but an additional sim with my EE account and transfer her existing number to that sim. Can this be done and if so how, as I presume her line will be under my name rather than hers as it is currently
