Retaining Staff discount after redundancy

Hi

I was made redundant from EE back in Jan 2020 after 20 years service starting as an Orange employee. I retained my staff discount but it only recently struck me that I haven't had that for a while and I am sure it was for life (unless I migrated to another provider of course).

I did at some point a few years ago opt for SIM only deal for a while and I wonder if that somehow invalidated my discount?
