Hi monthly Contract (NOT pay as you go) £11.00 pcm. All unlimited calls, data, etc
So why £19.95 - is it using emojis, or sending pictures over text messages? Or long text messages? Important due to hospital issues.
TIA

I set my spend cap at 0 so it won't go over.. if you're sending pictures over text it could be that. when you go into the bill section on your account it should break it down and show you where the additional money is from.

1@Jen232 , if you check the breakdown of your bill, you will see why you are paying more. Long text messages and picture messages cost extra. You can send text messages up to 160 characters for free, then I would suggest starting a second message if longer, then it will be free.

Most phones should comfortably concatenate long texts, sending them as multiple single ones for billing purposes but displaying them as one single. Androids can do this for (usually) 9 or 11 texts - thus 1440-1760 characters, I'm not familiar with Apple but I doubt it's much lower.
There should be an on-screen prompt in either case, making "conversion to MMS" obvious. Android can also comfortably send emojis as SMS, but Apple phones can often cause issues here.
Ultimately you need to check your bill breakdown to see what the cause of the extra charges, is.

@Jen232 If your not looking at the bill breakdown yourself to see if you have out of allowance charges every reply to your comment is a at best guess just like this one, Was your tariff on a limited time discount and now you’ve reached that minimum time ?
