WiFi Enhancer

Hello I got hooked up with EE broadband yesterday & i also payed for  the WiFi enhancer and I get to stage 3 where it attempts to lower the ping  and my internet seems to drop while its attempting to do so, I did this because everytime I’m on my console everyone in the household’s connection buffers which led to me getting this add on. However I have contacted customer service yesterday and got advised to wait later during that day or try again tomorrow however I kept running into this same issue after every attempt. I contacted customer service today regarding it & I didn’t get the best solution so I’m attempting to try here to see if anyone would be able to assist as I have 14 days to decide if it’s the best option for me or not and as of now it’s been an nightmare as I don’t know what could be causing this.

@Jay_Konan18 You will not find many user with the Enhancer software feature, if it works then you are lucky.

 

That’s unfortunate. And customer service has been awful trying to fix this simply because whenever I’m on my console everyone else in the household is experiencing buffer issues hence why I went ahead and added this option

I have the exact same problem.

I have reinstalled the ee app

Factory reset the hub

Tried all the ideas  of how to sort it

Ran the wifi enhancer setup countless times over the course of a week 

I sometimes get told what my ping is

Occasionally get what my ping is reduced to

And once told my ping was boosted but then there was nowhere further to go in the app only backwards. 

It seems to be another fundamental flaw in the EE app.

This is happening to me and others and I have not been able to find a solution

@StephenEdwards1 @Jay_Konan18 Setting QOS on a competent router is not the easiest, and is NOT a trial/error see how it goes situation, a badly configured router is about the WORST situation and with no control DO NOT let EE fool you into it...

Aw man that sucks that’s exactly what I did and nothing seemed to work. And exactly what’s described by you is what I am experiencing now. I figured it’s a flaw within the app along with not getting speed tests done in the app

So your say ting that the Smart hub plus is badly configured which leads to this problem? I don’t think I’d even be able to access the QOS on the hub

@Jay_Konan18 You cannot, that is what the Enhancer software is trying to do as a feature, the router is way locked down to stop it being messed with.
