How many people have got the new WiFi 7 router. I got text message and been on phone none stop. Been told should be getting new router last week. Still nothing and when go on chat. Get told not able to have it. Even though I’m a new customer and have the 1.6gb package and pay £79.99

that’s what In. I will not be using WiFi on my pc. All ways had it hard wired.

Yes, you're right. Sorry, I was only looking at the link speed forgetting that this was being damped down by the slower router at t'other end.
Yes, it would be worth your while to get hold of a SH Pro if they'll give you 1, but you have no auto right to get 1.

@Daisyt90 Although it is a bit of a long thread, you should at least have a read of the last few posts. Other customers in a similar position as yourself have been sharing information they claim to have received from the Next Gen team about the new router being sent to existing 1.6Gb customers.

Well the original messaage that went out was that all new and existing customers on teh Busiest Home package where entitled to the new router free of charge so anyone saying you are not entitled to it are simply wrong. There are quite a few of us that where sent texts from EE (existing customers that is) last Monday saying our new kit would be despatched within 4 days which has not happened, it is now apparentkly going to be despatched today so we will see

Thank you. So it wasn’t just me that got that text then. And yes I was told today as well. But I was also told it would last week when I spoke on the phone

@cliffy37 : You made a contract at that time for what was the current & advertised router for the plan you bought. Any replacement router subsequently is in the gift of EE & not yours by right.
Of course EE is embarrassed by selling a 1 Gig LAN router for a 1.6 Gig BB plan & might very well want to rectify its mistake.

I can second this was on the phone with tech for over an hour and they said they were out of stock and I was put on hold the tech then came back and said that the reason for them being out of stock is because they are in the middle of sending them out from today 🙂

To link onto what you said when i joined in Nov 23 they was talk of a new SH Pro and a trial phase was going to happen soon, to which it did i was invited, but was not picked as i had no wifi 7 device. And yes i agree with you it was embarrassing of them to offer such a product at the time they did, EE should of waited and launched the SH Pro with the new service all togeather.
