Could a community manager please pass this to the Content Lock categorisation team for review?

 

Our company website is being blocked on EE mobile data when Content Lock is switched on, and we would like its categorisation reviewed.

Company: Events We Can Help UK Ltd (Company No. 17131249)

 

What the site is: a racehorse and greyhound ownership syndicate. Members pay a monthly membership towards shared ownership and receive updates, stable and kennel visits and owners' badges on race days. The site does not take bets, offer odds or provide any betting or gaming facilities.

 

The problem: EE customers on mobile data cannot open the site and see a secure connection error. It loads normally on WiFi, and on O2 and Three.

 

We believe it has been placed in a gambling category in error. Please could you review the site, let us know which category it is in, and remove the block if you agree it has been misclassified.

Thanks for reaching out. 

I've tested the web address and found it is fully accessible on EE mobiles that have elected to switch their Content Lock level to OFF. 
You can find out more, along with the categorisation details, at How do I turn on/off parental controls on mobiles. 

However, I can see your site doesn't contain any gambling, so I'll pass this on to the team for review. 

Just to note: the categorisation of websites for our Parental Controls is conducted by our expert 3rd party supplier and we are not involved in this process. We understand that from time to time, sites can be miscategorised so the team will forward your request onto our 3rd party supplier for further investigation.

Hi @EventsWeCanHelp 

This has now been fully investigated and http://eventswecanhelpracingsyndicate.com is now correctly categorised as "Horse Racing” respectively.
We have checked the website is no longer blocked under EE ISP default content lock, and loads up as expected.
