How many people have got the new WiFi 7 router. I got text message and been on phone none stop. Been told should be getting new router last week. Still nothing and when go on chat. Get told not able to have it. Even though I’m a new customer and have the 1.6gb package and pay £79.99

It's not a test. It's an actual measurement.

Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router. Then on the Home > Status page you will see the WAN or Link Speed.

Thanks! Good! That confirms you have the 2.5 Gig ONT & that EE is supplying you with 1.6 Gig BB.

However that screenshot of your PC's Ethernet shows that it only has 1 Gig LAN as does the SH+ router. You'll need to do a speedtest over WiFi before you'll ever achieve 1.6 Gig speeds.

So does the route need changing to the new WiFi 7 one as that runs lan at 2.5. But the router I have now only runs at 1 gbps so won’t get any more to the pc

What's the point when your PC only has a 1 Gig LAN? This router will achieve 1.6 Gig over WiFi.

There is a 2.5Gb PCIe network card just been installed. What it’s connected to. The router I have now 1Gbps LAN so it won’t go over that. So need a router with a LAN that’s over 1gbps

Then why's it say the Link Speed is 1 Gig on Ethernet 3? Perhaps that LAN Controller has another LAN port on 2.5 Gig.
