Using BB2 router as second router with ad blocking features.

I currently have EE smart hub as the main router. I understand it is not possible to block specific URL's to block adverts on the whole network.

I have an old Brightbox 2 router which I read somewhere can be used to block specific URL's. I have been trying to connect BB2 as a second router to my main router (smart hub), but have not been successful so far. The idea is to create a new network with different SSID so that I can connect specific devices to block adverts.

I have tried connecting ethernet cable from one of the 4 ports from Smarthub to the WAN port of BB2, with BB2 set to ethernet / routing option. On the BB2 status page, it says internet is connected and the Internet indicator on the router is green, but unable to access internet on devices connected to BB2 with DNS error. I tried disabling DHCP / NAT/ Firewall on BB2 but still does not work.

Anyone has a solution how to get BB2 working for ad-blocking purpose?

Thanks in advance

I think that should work. What does the BB2 think its DNS are?
