Smart WiFi Pro

I just moved over from BT and my line activated today. I’ve got the Hub Pro and the one Smart WiFi Pro set up. I couldn’t get the WiFi pro paired in my office upstairs at all, but managed to in my bedroom. We’ve got a large ish 4 bed house.  The Wifi signal in the kitchen and in my office isn’t so great. I’d quite like to continue using the WiFi 7 hub and not go back to my ASUS mesh I used with BT, as whilst it connected (via WiFi) to the TV the additional non aerial channels would often drop out. They seem solid with the new Hub. Can I just phone up and request a couple of additional WiFi pros? As I couldn’t find a way to run a test in each room like you could with BT

Is this a mesh or an wifi extender set up? I ask because I have a very good mesh in my home compromising of a Wifi 6 router and three wifi repeaters. That said, devices can be slow to switch from one repeater to the next as I move around my home.

I have a 330/50 FTTP service with another provider. If, say, my IPad is linked to the closest wifi device, I might get 304/46 on a speedtest: the same as an Ethernet link. However, if I move the device from my bedroom to my downstairs study and the device stays linked to the upstairs repeater, I might get a 50% speed reduction.

There are numerous reports of Apple devices hanging on to the weakest wifi signal irrespective of router manufacturer. Saturating the home with repeaters doesn’t necessarily help. Setting individual SSIDs rather defeats the object of having a mesh.

My setup is the new EE Smart Hub Pro with Smart Wifi, which I believe is a mesh (there's no need to log in to the extender).

However, since my previous post I found the Smart Wifi extender was causing interference with my 6Ghz devices and crippling performance.

So I have since switched it off and make do with the Smart Hub Pro on its own - which is working great for the size of my house.
