Replacing router with ASUS DSL-AX82U

I would like to replace my hub that came with EE and use the  ASUS DSL-AX82U i am on the Fibre plus plan. as i would like to use a vpn built into the router would this be compatible?

@Kathrynday123  yes you can use your own router, in fact I have the same one.

EE have a handy help page for the settings:

specifically :

Fibre
Connection type: Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE)
Broadband username or login name: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
Broadband password: BT (or leave blank)
Authentication: CHAP
DNS: Auto or Obtain from ISP (we'll automatically provide these when you connect)
VLAN: Active
VLAN ID (802.1q): 101
VLAN ID (802.1p): 0

I have seen that because i have the white SH that i wouldn’t work is that correct?

@Kathrynday123   no, you just replace it with your Asus.

I have just got my router i set it all up but it has no internet connect so i reset it and im gonna attempt again today please can you help

i only received the router yesterday i was previously asking all them questions to see if i should buy it
