Problems with 1.6Gb upgrade

I seem to be having a couple problems with my upgrade which are:

I have just had an email from EE telling me they are sorry for cancelling my broadband but I didn’t, I upgraded so what gives?

Also, I am not a fan of own brand routers as I don’t feeling they give me the flexibility I need, therefore I bought a WiFi 7 router in preparation of my upgrade but I am struggling to find the username and password I would need in order to use my Asus router. Can anyone give me the location of where I might find the details in order to set up my own router?

having had a look it seems that the username is based on BT HomeKit details but I can find the password to be used as it is obscured

and help would be appreciated

The EE BB PPPoE Username/pwd is the same as BT's: bthomehub@btbroadband.com /BT or blank
