Connection issues since changing to 5G

Since EE upgraded me from 4G to 5G and issued me a hybrid mobile/landline device to replace my old landline (which worked perfectly), my answerphone no longer records messages, but they get diverted to BTs answerphone. I now have to ring 1571 to find any messages because message alerts don't appear on my telephone base. Also, even when I am on the phone, new calls can come through on the hybrid phone, which interfere and in some cases, cut off my telephone call. I have discovered that I can ring myself from the hybrid device, as it seems to work independently from my main phone. In short, it is a nightmare! Also a nightmare is trying to get any EE operator to answer a telephone call unless you are prepared to hang on for 30 minutes! anyone else have problems when they were persuaded to upgrade to 5G?

@PALS Have you been converted to DV Digital Voice yet, easy way to tell is ALL landline phones now connect to the back off the EE Hub, and the Hybrid phone should stay connected to the DV side and NOT go to the 4G connection unless the Network DV side goes down. Linked below all about the EE phone and there is also a manual in that link. You can have your old answering phone connected and set it up to pickup the line before the DV Voicemail but you would need a way for connecting so see the 2nd link also.

Adapter above, make sure it is the BT plug to the BT Dual socket version doing it the amazon way otherwise some other shops may also provide like Curry's Tesco or B&Q etc.... Cable one us easier than the fixed plug type.

Edit Guide to all the DV operation and in it you will see Voicemail set the ringer time to max so your Answering service home phone can pick up first.

@PALS : Sorry, but what's 4G/5G got to do with a landline? Is the 4G/5G SIM in a mobile router?

What phones do you have besides the hybrid mobile/landline device?
