I've not gotten round to updating my copper broadband for family health reasons but had Openreach email saying they coming round to update digital phone & putting me on core 67 which is FTTC even though full fibre is on my street. I will receive my smart hub plus & phone adaptor shortly.
They say i have a fortnight to change mind, not sure what that means as won't be going back to copper but just wondered if FTTC will still work ok after the switch off in January? I guess they wouldn't be doing it if it didn't. i Should've just ordered FTTP but as said i haven't . I guess i'll get this done & upgrade after.. I didn't think if FF was available on my street they would do FTTC.
i hope so having 2 filters will be ok. When i tried cable straight into master socket it dropped mbps so hopefully with fttc it won't Thanks & night i'm worn out

As I warned in my second post, back on page 3.
The problem will be the same with FTTC, as it is down to the cable you are using. If you insist on running a line all the way upstairs, bite the bullet, put full fibre in and use a cat 5e ethernet cable. You won't see any loss with that.

It's a rj11 to BT female adapter. The broadband cable can go into it and the male BT plug goes into the female BT plug on the carpet. Connects like the filter but isn't one
@gazmix_1973 Then plug it in just now, you should have no problems at all using it, your ADSL filter downstairs is protecting your voice line currently. Please get this into your head, come Wednesday when OR or a Contractor for them comes you will have NO FILTERS WHAT SO EVER, hopefully your connection works and the speed hit is not too big.
Hopefully your gender is wrong as it's a RJ11 to a Male BT phone connection.
It's off Amazon. Coming tomorrow. So this will work and I then only have one filter downstairs at the master socket. It says it's 4 wire female socket.
