Can you please tell me if the 1.6Gb broadband is available for people switching from BT broadband Full fibre at the advertised cost before the price rise on the 1st Apr.
As I’m reading it’s only available to NEW customers only and not transfers from BT.

There was quite a mess when the new generation (1.6 Gbps package) started at EE, and You could find many crazy stories about how bad it was here....
And it's true, they don't start it right leg forward at all...
I personally had also few messed up things, but while ordered it on 12th December 2023, I was live on 29th December and had just one trouble from that time, when EE SH+ after FW upgrade sadly didn't recognise my 1.6 Gbps package and was in need to re-initialize of line...
That said, I was with BT,
with BT TV (EE TV) which was ceased, no yet to able order new,
with Hybrid Connect, which was not able to migrate with me or order a new one yet,
with DV Phone, which ceased and it's not available on this package, etc etc,
and on top of it, it was "via new customer route", e.g. they don't migrate my BT to EE directly, but "take over" of my BT BB as EE new customer.
Only things which gone relatively smooth (not exactly smooth) was myu BT Mobile SIMO to EE Mobile SIMO.
But I am an example of it, as it's possible to migrate from BT to EE, and get 1.6. Gbps package, even it's not totally straightforward yet..

Some moving from BT to EE for its 1.6 Gig FF have ended up on 900 Meg FF only but still paying 1.6 Gig price.

Originally, advisor completely messed up my migration and I was supposed to go from FF900 to FF900, but I cancelled immediately while that was complete nonsense...
4 days later, another advisor correctly managed to get me to order FF 1.6 Gbps and 17 days later, OR engineer swap my ONT and boom, I am on 1.6 Gbps package...
in fact, it's now 2 months and apart that one weekend when FW messed it up, it's flawless...
Now, about 3 days I am fully WITHOUT supplied EE SH+, via My own equipments, fully on TP-Link Omada, with SOME setup for IPV6 (still suspect, as it's not cometely right) and getting around this (WiFi, Xiaomi 12T Pro,.therefore mobile not capable 6 GHz and certainly only WiFi 6E as max link is 2402 Mbps between mobile and AP, connected via 2.5 Gbps backbone to ONT:
As you might notice, uplink it's quite slowish, but working on it, because suspect as some settings just not perfectly right (e.g. it's works but could be even better)...
Hardwired PC with only 1 Gbps LAN is on 980 Mbps down, 114 Mbps Up and about 4-5 ms latency unloaded and 5-7 ms loaded...

I'm currently with BT myself (900Mbps package), with my contract running out at the start of August.
Is it possible to switch now from my package to the 1.6Gbps EE service?
Main thing for me would be no downtime (or as minimal as possible), as my wife and I both work from home.
Thanks!

Well just to give you an update on the mess it has caused me, I spent another 20mins or so talking to BT today.
And the advisor said I couldn’t have the 1..6gb at the advertised price which is £69.99 at the moment.
Then she challenged me over why do I need the increased speed that EE was offering.
And I would lose my Halo 3+ benefits, but that’s not a problem, because since I’ve had unbreakable broadband it’s only kicked in 3 times.
I thought advisors were supposed to advise and not promote one product over another.
So I gave up and ended up cancelling the EE broadband.

That's a shame @Profile closed
As mentioned, most of the Guides DO NOT HAVE CLUE about 1.6 Gbps package, even though it's available now for almost 4 months
Only people, who have an idea, of what You talking about are the "next-gen network" team at Belfast, and I do recommend anyone, to demand to connect to them...
It's absolutely pointless to try to sort things with "normal" Guides because it's with 50:50 odd coming with another mess on top of anything screwed already...
To answer your question @NotHimJim it's certainly possible to move from BB to EE even though Your products are in minimum term period, but it has some oddities when some people had/have nightmares with it, and for example, for me, it was 5 minutes downtime, to change ONT, otherwise it was back to back my BT FF900 vs. EE 1.6 NGBB
If You have DV phone - You can't move it to EE with 1.6 Gbps package (yet)
If You have EE TV - You can't move it to EE with 1.6 Gbps package (yet)
If You have Hybrid Connect, some people were succesfull to have it with 1.6 NGBB with EE, but I don't
I was in need to cease all these (without early termination fees), and even my move was not migration from BT to EE direct, it was ceasing BT, and taking over my line with EE as new customer.... Even this without early termination fees... But I might be one of few lucky ones, considering what I reading here on forum...

Thanks for that.
So you basically signed up as a new EE customer (rather than try to switch over?).
How did you get away with no early termination fees etc? Did you have to call them afterwards to try and resolve?
Any info would be great, thanks.

If you look at the last part of my previous post, I've cancelled EE Full fibre.
Because the whole mess started back in November, I was offered the option to switch to EE Broadband by BT, but they wanted to charge me MORE, than I was already paying BT for the same speed which is 900mb.
And then when I tried to do the switch via the EE website for the 1.6gb busiest Full fibre that's when I got told 2 different stories, version 1 I would need to pay BT nearly £900 for early exit fees, and version 2 because I'm only changing operator i.e from BT to EE, the exit fees would be waived.
The final nail in the coffin for EE Broadband, was I got an email from BT for that £900 exit fees, so I phoned the number in the email, and found out that the order was stuck in transit and was told wait a few days to see if it moves from in progress to complete.
So yesterday I checked the EE app and the order was still in progress, with that I re-phoned BT, and got someone entirely different, who said that the advertised price of £69.99 wasn't available to me, and why do I need the extra speed, so after about 20 mins, of her sounding like a stuck record my patience ran out and told her I will cancel the order.
Which she's apparently done, but even this morning it's still showing as in progress.

Not exactly... They simply done it, after I asked for 1.6 Gbps EE NGN BB.
Instead direct migration, they setup completely new EE BB service and "take over the BT FF900 line" which ceased in the process.
No early termination fees, as mentioned before, no other services moved (apart BT Mobile to EE mobile - but it went separately), all other services terminated, no early termination fees...
Zero downtime for me, apart 5 mins job to change ONT for new with 2.5 Gbps port.
It's not perfectly correct way , but it was working in my cases without many trouble others experienced.
